 Wolf Compound....

Our  Welcome Center contains a lovely gift shop, local information, as well as educational material about wolves.

James  Fisher Photography of the Wolf Sanctum's "residents" is offered exclusively at The Wolf Sanctum, Inc., or through Howlin' Wolf Creations.   Original art works by our Director are also available at our Welcome Center or through Howlin' Wolf Creations.  Proceeds from the sale of wolf photography and art works are donated to The Wolf Sanctum to assist in the support of the wolves.

We've added greatly to this area since it was first constructed...the Wolf Compound is the heart of The Wolf Sanctum,  including our Clinic (built in 2003). A separate Vehicle Port to house equipment was completed at the end of 2003 behind the Compound. A medical recovery area (isolation pen) was completed in 2005.

The Clinic area provides for the medical needs of the wolves in Sanctuary.  It also provides an amenities area for our dedicated volunteers and workers.  The Wolf Compound is truly the hub of all activities.

September 2008 we received a grant from the Ware Foundation....and went to work.  I am trying to figure out how to get the pictures of the renovations and improvements up here, so bear with me!!   We added a deck off the Gift Shop, put three new doors (two glass so it brings in much need light) in the main building, built a shelter off the food prep area to house another refrigeration unit, converted the space between the Gift Shop and the Clinic into a photo/art gallery, and lastly but certainly not least, expanded two of the enclosures.  With the new additions on the building, we were prompted to paint everything that was nailed down a lovely shade of green.   On the deck portion, an enclosed area housing a large TV was constructed so our visiting students can watch an educational Wolf Video while awaiting their Wolf Trek Work Program.
